What You Will Be Doing:

As the Yancey Engineering Solutions Logistics Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, inspection, and processing of incoming goods to ensure they are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee unloading and handling of shipments, ensuring safety and minimizing damage 
  • Verify goods against purchase orders, invoices, or bills of lading, checking quantities, descriptions, and condition 
  • Coordinate storage and organize inventory for easy retrieval, often using space optimization strategies 
  • Manage receiving schedules to align with delivery times and warehouse capacity 
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct inspections or training for staff 
  • Liaise with suppliers and shipping companies to resolve issues with delayed, damaged, or incorrect shipments 
  • Conduct inventory audits to maintain accurate stock records 
  • Maintain documentation such as goods received notes, discrepancy reports, and corrective actions 
  • Train and lead teams, delegating tasks and mentoring associates 
  • Implement process improvements and standard operating procedures for receiving operations 
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management

Who We Are Looking For:

Education/Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years in logistics operations. 
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Depp understanding of logistics.
  • Strong accountability and initiative. 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Advanced problem solving capabilities. 
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. 
  • CDL. 
  • Willing to work in extreme weather conditions.
