Job Summary:

Director, Manufacturing Systems & Applications

An experienced technology leader responsible for the day-to-day delivery, support, and continuous improvement of business and manufacturing systems across a complex industrial environment. Working closely with plant operations, supply chain, finance, engineering, and business stakeholders, this role ensures critical systems remain reliable, integrated, and aligned with operational needs.

The successful candidate will bring deep hands-on experience supporting manufacturing applications, ERP platforms, shop floor systems, system integrations, reporting solutions, and business process improvements. They will lead technology projects from requirements gathering through implementation and ongoing support, while also serving as a trusted partner to operations teams.

Compensation

$135,000.00 to $165,000.00

The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.

Location: Hamilton, North Carolina - travel required. Hamilton based preferred. Some flexibility with remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the support, enhancement, and administration of ERP and manufacturing systems.
  • Manage ERP upgrades, migrations, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Partner directly with plant leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Oversee integration between ERP, MES, warehouse management, production, quality, and other operational systems.
  • Coordinate vendors, consultants, developers, and internal support teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot complex business and technical issues affecting production and operational processes.
  • Drive adoption of best practices for system governance, master data management, testing, and change management.
  • Develop reporting, analytics, and operational dashboards to support business decision-making.
  • Provide leadership to analysts, developers, and application support resources.
  • Ensure business systems remain secure, stable, scalable, and well-documented.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience with ERP implementation, migration, and support projects for Manufacturing companies.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, production planning, inventory management, supply chain, quality
  • Experience supporting ERP solutions such as SAP, D365, Infor or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems integration, APIs, data architecture, and reporting platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate operational requirements into technology solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach to delivery and support.
