Yard Person

Toromont Cat is looking for a Yard Person to join our team in Dartmouth! Our Yard Person provides superior service to support internal and external customers by maintaining the daily operation of yard inventory including the shipping and receiving of equipment.

In a typical day, YOU will:

• Demonstrate safe, environmentally responsible, and healthy work behaviors aligned with Toromont’s Health & Safety Policies and Programs.
• Occupy the gatehouse and manage all vehicle traffic entering and exiting the yard.
• Provide clear directions and assistance to customers and truck drivers upon arrival.
• Confirm all individuals entering the facility have the required PPE and provide guidance when needed.
• Monitor and review video footage as required to support site safety and security.
• Help coordinate heavy‑equipment shipping and receiving activities.
• Organize, track, and file all documentation accurately and on time.
• Ensure the building is fully secured at the end of each shift.

Must-haves for this role:

• Minimum post-secondary education
• Relevant work experience handling a wide range of heavy equipment, along with proven gatehouse experience
