Custodian
Responsibilities:
Remove trash from the facility and maintain receptacles daily
Move empty pallets and cardboard to the appropriate bins outside
Provide custodial assistance to other departments as requested
Maintain a clean and orderly loading dock area
Keep will-call areas clean and organized
Maintain and clean shop, warehouse, and parts areas
Clean and maintain entry and exit door areas
Clean and maintain equipment as assigned
Clean up spills, which may include hazardous materials like battery acid and oil
Maintains wash bay area and walls daily
Assist with tool crib organization and cleanliness
Safely operate the forklift
Work in a cooperative manner with team and superiors
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED required
2+ years related experience
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions for the purpose of safety procedures
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer skills
Able to work independently
Able to operate forklift
Able to operate required equipment safely (forklifts, floor scrubbers, and other cleaning equipment)
Minor mechanical ability
