JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, allocations, reclassifications, payroll-related transactions, and other general ledger activities. 
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines. 
  • Manage assigned general ledger accounts, prepare account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. 
  • Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules, and account analyses, while providing explanations for significant account fluctuations and business results. 
  • Partner with internal departments to research accounting issues, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate transaction coding and documentation. 
  • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements, ensuring all work is well-documented and audit-ready. 
  • Support internal and external audits, lender and regulatory requests, and assist with the implementation of corrective actions and process improvements. 
  • Contribute to accounting system enhancements, automation initiatives, training, and cross-functional collaboration to improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency across accounting operations.

 

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of experience in indirect tax, accounting, or financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation, month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. 
  • Experience working with ERP/accounting systems, internal controls, audit support activities, and accounting documentation requirements. 
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze financial data, research variances, solve problems, and identify process improvement opportunities. 
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain a high level of accuracy and customer service.
