Responsibilities
- Foster a positive work environment that reflects and promotes BMC’s vision, mission, and values.
- Perform all job responsibilities safely while championing a culture of health and safety.
- Proactively engage existing and prospective customers via phone, email, online portals, text, and CRM tools to identify power generation sales opportunities.
- Manage and grow an assigned customer base by understanding business operations, power requirements, and long-term needs.
- Actively hunt new business, including outreach to targeted industries, dormant accounts, and net-new customers.
- Develop a working knowledge of customer applications such as standby power, prime power, peak shaving, disaster recovery, and mission-critical operations.
- Collaborate closely with Outside EPG Sales Representatives to support account strategies, proposals, and closing activities.
- Generate and follow up on quotes, proposals, and sales documentation to move opportunities through the pipeline.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including customer interactions, opportunities, forecasting, and follow-ups.
- Serve as an internal liaison between customers and EPG service, parts, and operations teams to ensure clear communication and execution.
- Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities.
- Support reporting, analytics, and special projects related to sales performance and pipeline development.
- Attend department, branch, and safety meetings as required.
- Remain flexible to support customer needs outside normal business hours when necessary.
- Achievement of individual EPG sales revenue targets (monthly, quarterly, and annual).
- Growth in existing account spend through upselling, cross-selling, and solution expansion.
- Contribution to new customer acquisition and net-new revenue generation.
- Quote-to-close conversion rate for power generation solutions and related offerings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required, college degree preferred.
- Previous experience in power generation, heavy equipment, industrial sales, or energy-related industries preferred.
- Effective coordination with Outside EPG Sales, Service, Parts, and Operations teams.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships while pursuing new business opportunities.
- Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to understand technical and operational customer challenges.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Professional, customer-focused, and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with customers, peers, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; ability to learn internal systems with training.
- Self-motivated, driven, and results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily office-based with occasional travel to customer sites, branch locations, or training events.
- May require presence at job sites or facilities with varying environmental conditions.
- PPE must be worn as required to ensure safety and prevent exposure to hazards.
- Regular use of computers, phones, and related technology to perform daily responsibilities.
