As an Electrician, your primary responsibility is to troubleshoot engine controls and wiring, read and interpret blueprints and point to point drawings; wire engine alternators, starters, jacket water heaters, and engine safeties and controls; fabricate engine harnesses; install Class 1 Div 2 wire and conduit; install and wire engine enclosure lighting panels; soldering wire connections and electrical components.

Electrician Technician Position Requirements:

• Must own proper tools to perform necessary repairs
• Associate’s degree or certificate from technical school preferred
• 5 years’ experience working with troubleshooting engine controls and wiring
• Working knowledge of AC/DC circuits and general mechanical skills
• Ability to operate heavy equipment including overhead cranes and forklifts
• Knowledge and experience with generators and switchgear
• Ability to perform Load Bank testing, Low, Medium, and High Voltage
• Generate detailed service reports
• Previous mechanic work or military experience
• Other duties as required
