Job Description:

Major Job Functions:

  • Proactively develop and build quality relationships with customers and internal employees.
  • Build and submit quotes to customers based on the industry we serve
  • Develop and recommend technical rental product solutions for customers as they relate to power generation, electrical distribution, and compressed air
  • Plan for rental project execution
  • Support customer retention through consistent follow up, service excellence, and proactive relationship management
  • Conduct cold calling to generate new business opportunities and expand market presence
  • Collaborate closely with the Credit team to support credit reviews and ensure accurate account information
  • Coordinate equipment availability, delivery scheduling, and logistics with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records in systems such as customer notes and quote data
  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and assist with troubleshooting basic equipment needs
  • Participate in team meetings and share market insights, customer feedback, and rental trends
  • Ensure all work aligns with safety and operational standards

Accountability:

  • Work closely with sales force and perform coverage for traveling salespeople
  • Assist in the timely preparation of sales quotations and project execution with accuracy
  • Develop and maintain long term strategic relationships with customers by providing consistent, accurate and timely equipment solutions
  • Dedication to relevant continuous learning and development; and to continuous process improvement
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team and with other teams

Experience and Education:

  • Strong background in customer service
  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technologist education would be an asset
  • Rental or sales experience considered an asset
  • Experience with Power & Energy Caterpillar equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Skilled in general computer use, including email and internet
  • Knowledge of Finning systems, processes, and safety policies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong customer focus with a drive to deliver the highest level of service
  • Problem solving abilities, including identifying issues and implementing effective solutions
  • High attention to detail, working in a thorough, consistent, and conscientious manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and provide support as needed
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done
  • Ability to learn, adapt, and perform effectively in a dynamic environment
