Hydraulic Build Up Specialist

We’re looking for an experienced Hydraulic Build Up Specialist to join our Clayton Service team, specialising in the build-up, assembly and repair of Caterpillar hydraulic components.
What you’ll be doing
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems on Cat machines and components
• Perform hydraulic build-up and assembly to OEM specs and engineering drawings
• Carry out hydraulic hose and coupling work, including on-site repairs and hose assembly manufacturing
• Use test equipment to inspect, test and commission hydraulic components
• Prepare accurate job quotes and complete service reports and work orders
• Always follow our safety, quality and contamination control standards
What you’ll bring
• Trade qualification – Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
• Strong experience in hydraulic system assembly, fault finding and repair
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical manuals and drawings
• Confident using diagnostic and testing equipment in a workshop environment
• Good communication skills and a team mindset – willing to support apprentices and peers
• Solid time management and a focus on doing the job right, safely
Experience with Caterpillar systems (SIS, HIS, DBS) will be a bonus.
