Based at our Laverton branch and reporting to the Service Supervisor, this full-time Senior Diesel Technician role offers a stable 5x2 roster and the opportunity to work with some of the most advanced Caterpillar equipment in the industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In this hands-on senior role, you’ll be at the heart of our service operation – diagnosing, repairing and maintaining Caterpillar earthmoving equipment while supporting technicians and apprentices on the workshop floor.
Key responsibilities include:
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance of Caterpillar earthmoving equipment
• Advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault-finding
• Mentoring, coaching and supporting apprentices and service technicians
• Completing all job-related documentation and paperwork accurately
• Opening, closing and invoicing Service Work Orders
• Delivering consistent, high-quality customer service
• Acting as back-up to the Team Leader when required
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety, health and environmental procedures
ABOUT YOU
You’re an experienced Diesel Technician who takes pride in your workmanship, leads with confidence, and brings a strong safety-first mindset to everything you do.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
• Trade qualification as a Diesel Technician
• Relevant post-trade experience in a similar role or environment
• Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment
• Strong diagnostic and technical capability
• Ability to mentor, motivate and develop apprentices and technicians
• Clear communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
• An unwavering commitment to safety, health and environmental standards
