THE OPPORTUNITY


We are searching for a Sales Representative focused on providing solutions to our valued oil and gas customers. Examples of these solutions are Cat dealer qualified overhauls both offshore and onshore, aftermarket parts sales, remote monitoring, and other key initiatives that enable our customers to experience less down time and become more efficient with their Caterpillar fleet.  This position will cover the Houston & Southern Louisiana areas.

The person in this role will be responsible for consultative sales providing strategic solutions to customers that will continuously grow our partnership with them. 


YOUR CONTRIBUTION

  • Provide innovative solutions for our customers through your knowledge of both CAT and Louisiana CAT products.
  • Analyze leads and build efficient call plans to sell solutions to both new and established customers.
  • Consult with customers about CAT engine performance, life cycles, regular maintenance, overhaul process, emissions upgrades, and other sustainability offerings from CAT. 
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with all other departments such as Sales, Product Health, Training, Service, Parts, and other key departments while assisting the customer with he product support needs. 

YOUR VALUE

  • You will serve as an Aftermarket Key Account Representative for Oil and Gas Customers operating a majority Caterpillar fleet
  • You will have the sales tools and building blocks to MAKE A CAREER here at Louisiana CAT
  • You will collaborate with your Sales Management / General Manager to establish sales goals on monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required: Strong sales consultative communication skills 
  • Self-sufficient and responsible 
  • Must be able to resolve situations in a timely and professional manner 
  • Expert knowledge of the oil and gas industry 
  • Required: Strong knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office software including Outlook
  • Highly Preferred: Knowledge or experience using CRM (Customer Relations Management) software such as Salesforce.com
  • Highly Preferred: Knowledge of Caterpillar engines is strongly desired; other Natural Gas or Diesel engine knowledge is      helpful 

JOB FACTS

  • Ability to travel within defined sales territory and valid U.S. Driver's License with clean MVR (Motor Vehicles Record)
  • Overnight travel may be required 
  • Site visits (land drilling locations, gas compression sites, etc) 
  • Must be willing to relocate within the state of Louisiana for future advancement opportunities
  • Must live within the assigned territory
