Retail Sales Representative-Electric Power Generation
The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for promoting Retail Electric Power Generation products and services to existing customer base while expanding on that base in order to obtain territorial as well corporate goals. Develops assigned territory, implements territorial sales plans to grow business and maintain current customer base. Influences and grow sales with new business opportunities within assigned market area/territory. Continually collaborates with EP Business Development Manager in order to fulfill business plan.
Essential Functions:

Promotes all aspects of the organization to include: sales and promotion of Retail Power Generation products and services for all customer market segments while working to expand on the customer base in order to meet and exceed organizational goals.

Proactively manages customer accounts within an assigned territory using territory and sales call plans and other methods of predetermined contact and follow-up as determined by leadership on an annual basis.

Prepares and presents sales proposals with equipment options and performance data.

Receives customer orders and inputs them into project management system and serves as the single point of contact customers and Project Management.

Completes self-development and technical training assignments, and maintains accurate expense reporting on a timely basis in accordance with company policy.

Requires regular and punctual employee attendance.

Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of Electric Power Generation equipment and applications and services in addition to accounting principles, budget preparation, and business acumen.

Demonstrated knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).

Excellent selling, negotiating, and closing skills with the ability to build long-term business relationships.

Proficient with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Understands the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of one to three years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required. Three to five years of experience is preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent with some college coursework or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Valid driver’s license.

- Extensive driving required; occasional overnight travel required.

This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.

Work Environment:

This job is generally performed in a retail and office environment; exposure to computer screens; exposure to noise, dust, grease, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions.

Occasionally works outdoors and may be exposed to weather extremes conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.

Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
