Manager Aftermarket Sales Gas & Marine
DESCRIPTION:
The Aftermarket Retail Manager has a primary focus on Retail Machine and Aftermarket sales. Retail is defined as 1-3 machine owners. This position will be CAT-facing and will have sales staff that are customer-facing. Metrics associated with this position include: Rental machine & Aftermarket Sales Growth, Marketing PSEs, and Aftermarket sales initiatives/action plans, and CVA growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Sales and Marketing
- Supervisory experience in a team environment preferred
- Willingness to learn, be trained, and coach
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Able to communicate with team members and customers
- Good working knowledge of necessary technology and its application
- Highly self-directed
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop Retail “Go to Market” plans in conjunction with CAT Representatives, Marketing, Operations Managers and Product Support Sales Managers.
- Serve as Project lead for Parts and Service Sales Growth strategies
- Manage Marketing and Sales Operational Excellence programs for Aftermarket in alignment with CAT Marketing Sales Operations Representative (MSOR).
- Direct a team of Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs) at various locations with focus on Aftermarket sales.
- Work with CAT Retail Aftermarket Solutions Representative (ASR) to develop merchandising programs to target Retail customers.
- Analyze customer data to identify target customers, products, lost opportunity and develop in conjunction with product support managers an action plan to capitalize on analysis
- Work with Parts Operations team to plan Parts inventory requirements and procurement. Figure out potential issues and determine the best way to correct these issues – work with customer, Caterpillar/Supplier, Business Specialists, Company Operating System, etc.
- Utilize CRM to push Leads to Sales Reps and develop marketing plans based on analysis.
- Work with Digital Services Manager to develop PCC strategy and requirements for Retail customers.
- Establish a Facility Retail strategy with Branch operations team to meet CAT Retail guidelines/standards. This includes performing assessments to ensure compliance and identify gaps.
- Increase Customer Value Agreements (CVAs) to meet Dealer sales growth targets.
- Manage customer equipment ownership files in company operating system.
- Provide sales support and customer presentations on the benefits of CAT machine and aftermarket offerings.
- Create and maintain good communications with other Company departments and branches.
- Maintain good customer relations through addressing customer concerns and quickly resolving customer complaints.
- Recommend to manager ideas to improve the departments operating procedures or business practices and participate in and support continuous improvement of all related activities and processes
- Project a positive image by interacting with fellow employees, customers, and management in a cooperative, supportive, and courteous manner; display a professional attitude; comply with company dress code
- Create and maintain good communications (verbally and in writing) and relationships with other Company departments, branches, employees, outside vendors, and customers by addressing and resolving concerns quickly

- Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
