With nearly 100 years as a Caterpillar Dealer, William Adams has built a legacy of backing our customers with the best equipment and the best support. From construction and mining to marine and industry, we’ve stood alongside our customers every step of the way – powered by world-class products and, most importantly, great people.
Now, we’re looking for a confident, customer-focused Service Coordinator to join our busy Wodonga branch – someone who thrives in the action, enjoys problem-solving, and knows how to keep both customers and technicians moving forward.
This isn’t just a desk job. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you’ll be at the centre of our service operations – coordinating workflows, supporting our technicians, and ensuring our customers receive clear, timely communication from booking to completion. You’ll juggle priorities, manage expectations, and help keep the workshop running efficiently and safely.
We’re seeking someone who brings energy, resilience, and a strong service mindset. A mechanical trade background will set you up for success, as you’ll be fielding technical enquiries from customers and providing informed support to our service technicians. Experience in service coordination, scheduling, or workshop administration will be highly regarded – but just as important is your initiative, organisation, and drive to deliver excellence.
At William Adams, this is more than a coordination role – it’s a genuine career opportunity. You’ll be part of a respected branch team, backed by a strong brand, clear values, and a business that believes in developing its people for the long term.
ABOUT THE ROLE
What a day typical day will look like:
• Coordinating and scheduling workshop and field service work

• Liaising closely with parts, sales, and service teams to deliver effective customer solutions
ABOUT YOU
You’re someone who combines strong mechanical knowledge with a genuine commitment to customer service. Your background allows you to confidently handle technical discussions, support technicians, and provide practical, informed solutions.
Just as importantly, you’re organised, resilient, and calm under pressure. You enjoy variety, can juggle multiple tasks, and take pride in keeping operations running smoothly.
To be successful in this role you will require the following skills and attributes:
• A mechanical trade background or strong operational experience in the heavy mechanical industry
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build long term internal and external relationships
• A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• A genuine commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards
