Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Strong understanding of warranty processes and guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze reports and identify machines approaching hardship status.
  • Proficiency in reviewing work orders for compliance with warranty timeframes.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualification(s)

  • Technical knowledge of Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar machinery.
  • Familiarity with warranty management systems and reporting tools.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in business, administration, or related field preferred.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare and submit warranty claims, reports, and discounts accurately.
  • Enroll all EPP coverage for Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar machines.
  • Review and monitor claim statuses, notifying supervisors of grievances or recovery issues.
  • Run regular reports to identify machines in hardship status and advise supervisors.
  • Inspect work orders to ensure compliance with warranty guidelines and coverage periods.

 

Leadership Responsibilities

  • No direct supervisory responsibilities.
  • Expected to work independently and demonstrate ownership of tasks.

 

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in warranty administration or service operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Strong attention to detail and mental focus for reviewing claims and reports.
  • Occasional lifting of files or documents (up to 20 lbs).

 

Work Environment

  • Office setting with frequent interaction with service and parts departments.
  • Standard business hours with occasional overtime during peak periods.
