Job Title: Shop Supervisor
Position Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead as Shop Supervisor at our Southfield location. This pivotal role involves overseeing shop and/or field operations, ensuring efficient workflow, maintaining top-notch customer service, and upholding safety standards. As the leader of our shop team, you will play a key role in driving quality repairs and fostering a positive working environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage day-to-day shop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely completion of work orders.
  • Uphold high standards of repair quality and customer service, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Assist in evaluating shop service operations, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes.
  • Lead and mentor shop staff, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
  • Address service-related complaints promptly and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and guidelines, maintaining a safe working environment for staff and customers.
  • Oversee maintenance of facilities and equipment, promoting timely repairs and troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support shop operations.
Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with diesel equipment.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in supervisory or leadership role.
Preferred:
  • Associate's degree in a related technical field.
  • 5 years or more of experience with diesel equipment.
  • 3 years or more of experience in a supervisory role.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Effective leadership abilities, including decision-making and goal-setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn internal systems.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proven conflict resolution skills and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business and personal information.
