Knowledge and Skill Requirement(s):

·         Quoting experience for heavy equipment rebuilds and certified rebuilds.

·         Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualification(s):

·         Minimum of 3 years’ experience in service quoting, product support, or a related role within heavy equipment or machinery industries.

·         Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

·         Technical understanding of Caterpillar products and repair processes.

Essential Job Functions:

·         Expand Repair Option Offerings: Increase the range and detail of repair options, including comprehensive repair descriptions and standards, by identifying target machine models based on machine population data and dealer operational requests.

·         Pricing Accuracy: Continuously compare repair option pricing to actual customer repair work, making necessary adjustments to maintain pricing accuracy and competitiveness, while maintaining OEM standards.

·         Autonomous Product Support Development: Independently develop all product support service options, including repair options, preventative maintenance (PM) pricing, and Total Maintenance & Repair (TM&R) contracts, with minimal supervision and a high degree of accuracy.

·         Monthly Pricing Updates: Perform monthly updates to all repair and PM option pricing and ensure timely communication of changes to operations teams.

·         Quote Tracking: Track all service quotes, including those waiting, in process, and closed, to maintain visibility and accountability throughout the quoting lifecycle.

·         Sales Support: Assist Product Support Sales Representatives (PSSRs), Machine Sales Department, and manage the Quoting team members in preparing and presenting contract proposals to customers.

·         Regular Pricing Updates: Supply with up-to-date pricing information on component repair options, preventative maintenance, machine/welding shop services, and undercarriage repairs.

·         Enroll certified rebuilds into Caterpillar database.

·         Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate and timely reports on the financial performance of TM&R contracts to management.

·         Information Management: Ensure continuous growth and maintenance of repair option information, storing and updating data in Caterpillar systems, Stowers’ ERP (DBS) and company intranet applications.

·         Prepare to have other management and work responsibilities as the business grows.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

·         Ability to sit for extended periods.

·         Mental agility to manage multiple tasks and respond quickly to changing conditions.

·         Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 25 lbs).

·         High level of concentration and attention to detail.

 

Work Environment:

·         Office-based with frequent communication.

·         Fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions.

·         The Service Quoting Manager reports directly to the Service Operations Manager and works closely with Sales, Operations, and Product Support Sales Representatives.
