Field Technician
Position Summary
A Field Technician at Michigan CAT is the onsite Service Specialist to support customers at their work location. A Field Technician would perform maintenance and repair on customer fleet at customer sites, to get them continually producing output to the customers' demands.
Responsibilities
As a Field Technician your responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Diagnose problems with equipment/engines.
- Perform all repairs associated with the diagnosis that is possible out in the field.
- Locate and order parts as required. On occasions, this may require you to coordinate with parts-drivers to get the parts you need to your work site.
- Write up detailed service reports for both internal and external requirements.
- Maintain own equipment.
- Building productive customer relationships to benefit all involved.
Qualifications
To qualify, you should have:
- Proven track record of ability to perform and fix equipment/engines in a timely manner, to the quality and standard required.
- The ability to self-motivate and self-manage time.
- A record of promptness to get to and from work on time.
- Strong ability to communicate and listen, understanding customer needs and performing the work necessary.
- Strong writing skills to complete detailed service reports.
- A Current DOT Medical Card.
- A Current Class A CDL.
