Machine Sales Rep

The Machine Sales Representative is responsible for the sale, rental, and/or leasing of new and used machines to business and industrial establishments or individuals. This position is classified as an “outside sales” position; the position’s primary duty is to obtain orders/contracts for products or services; employees are customarily and regularly engaged away from Warren’s place of business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various sources. Maintain information on these customers and activities on Warren CAT software.
- Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders; or talk with customers on sales floor or by phone.
- Display or demonstrate product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
- Quote prices and credit terms; prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
- Prepare reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts.
- Work with other sales representatives for Product Support opportunities and other opportunities.
- Work with Warren CAT software fluently to determine machine options, features, benefits, applications, and attachments.
- Coordinate and/or participate in customer training.
- Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with products, attachments, and deliveries.
- Study and understand machine abilities, limitations, and applications, as well as understand our customers’ business(es).
- Work with goals, targets, and quotas where minimum expectations must be met.
- Timely submits reports and forecast as directed by management.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; and/or five years related experience and/or training.
- Reasonable familiarity with manufacturer’s literature and how to apply it to selling our product.
- Excellent communication skills to read, write, and interpret instructions in written, verbal, and/or diagram form.
- Excellent conflict management to include strong listening, ability to control emotions in heightened situations, accountability for customer feedback, and follow-through to find solutions and ensure customer service excellence.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
