JOB PROFILE
The Rental Divisions Operations Manager will be responsible for maximizing the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of the Rental Division operations at Thompson Machinery. The ideal candidate for this role must be able to perform in a fast-paced and high-energy work environment. This position will collaborate with Rental Branch Managers and other departments and must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This role will not have any direct reports or sales responsibilities will report to the Vice President of Rental. 
 
Qualifications:
  • 5 years equipment rental operations experience
  • Degree preferred
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • High level of analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain multiple projects
  • Strong time management skills
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail
 
Duties:
  • Support Rental Division by developing and generating metric reporting, auditing safety and business compliance, creating and implementing operational and systems training,
  • Coordinate Rental Excellence scoring and reporting.  Develop actions to achieve Gold status.
  • Become subject matter expert on all rental IT systems – iRental, CRM, Elite Extra, Rouse, Cat Rental Store App, etc. and take the lead on resolving any issues as well as maintaining user profiles.
  • Lead the implementation of any new Rental related software/systems
  • Assist fleet manager to ensure all incoming fleet is properly received, classed and paid for.
  • Perform analysis on business performance and make recommendations on improvements based on identified trends.
  • Travel to all CRS branches to audit performance and compliance and identify, document and share best practices at top performing branches.
  • Communicate with other departments to look for ways to collaborate on any inter-departmental issues or customer related opportunities.

  • Maintain a clean, professional personal appearance at all time, meeting all Company standards for professionalism.
  • Keep the Manager continually apprised to assist in answering customer questions and problems when necessary. 
Physical Requirements
  • Pass pre-employment background check, physical exam including drug screen, and meet all physical requirements for the position. 
  • Able to lift up to 20-50 pounds occasionally
