The Compact Equipment Sales Representative is accountable for the development of the customer base for all compact equipment sales.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a positive work environment and promote the vision, mission, and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner; promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop action plans to increase customer satisfaction that will close the gaps and measure performance as the means to seek continuous improvement in the work process.
  • Strong and consistent field engagement through sales coverage planning and account development.
  • Prepare CRM reports and establish territorial KPI that address market share and profit margin. 
  • Communicate with service and other managers to foster a collaborative climate driving BMC engagement with customer base.
  • Complete required compliance training including equipment safety, sales, negotiation training, soft skills development etc. 
  • Serve as a liaison between the customers and service to communicate needs and operational issues encountered in daily sales operations and to recommend solutions. 
  • Maintain and provide regular updates on market status and key negotiations to management. 
  • Work to collaborate with various BMC entities through contract negotiation process for key accounts on pricing and concessions to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage the machine sales equipment department budget and related fiscal forecasting and planning activities. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong business acumen, problem-solving skills, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter.
  • Committed to Continuous Improvement.
  • Proven ability to navigate change in a productive manner utilizing sound technical skills

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work outside throughout the year.
  • Daily travel to local job sites and customers offices is required.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
