The Recruiter is responsible for the successful recruitment of Diesel Technicians & various positions throughout the Company. This role works closely with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and to develop souring and recruiting strategies in a manner that reflects the company’s vision of working as “One Professional Team”.

Pay Rate:  $56,093.62 - $77,131.97 Annually 
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. 

Essential Functions:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and department heads to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies to meet these needs.
  • Draft and edit detailed job descriptions, compelling job postings, and effective screening questions with input from business leaders.
  • Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, diversity boards, social media, career fairs, networking, and employee referrals to identify and engage with potential candidates.
  • Evaluate candidate qualifications and experience through application review and phone screenings to make recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Provide accurate information to candidates about Wagner, position, and benefits.
  • Schedule candidates for phone, video, and/or face-to-face interviews with hiring managers.
  • Coordinate candidate communication and follow up to obtain feedback regarding the interview process.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Create and foster relationships with high schools, regional technical colleges, universities, military recruiting sources, and other sources.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to promote Wagner as an employer of choice in the industry.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis of recruitment metrics to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.
  • Research, schedule and attend regional career fairs and tours of Wagner facilities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in recruiting to continuously improve the recruitment process.
  • Protect and maintain the privacy of candidate and employee information and records, to include compensation information.
  • Ensure screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 – 5 years recruiting/interviewing responsibilities in an industrial organization
  • Knowledge of UKG ATS platform preferred
  • Proficiency in recruiting platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or related field preferred
  • Experience with reporting and recruiting metrics preferred
