Service Estimator

Ziegler Cat has an opening for a Service Estimator who is responsible for creating repair estimates for customers. In this role, you will be responsible for working with technical communicators, the sales team, and the service team to create the best possible repair estimate and communicate the estimate with the Service Advisor and end customer(s). During the repair process, the Service Estimator follows up with Service Advisors on how the repair process is going and if the job is within scope of estimate or if revisions are needed.

Responsibilities:

• Complete repair estimates, including all anticipated parts
• Use standard jobs when available
• Check for service letters, safety letters, field campaigns and CVAs when opening a service call
• Contact service advisor to discuss work to be completed / initial repair estimate
• Work with the technical communicators and shop as needed to build accurate estimates
• Collaborate with sales team on the repair options for customers
• Create PDI Service Calls using a PA from sales person/division
• Build additional segments for additional work that may be needed while machine is in for repair, rebuild, etc.
• Stay up to date on all MFG Specials and programs
• Quote for insurance claims

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in diesel technology strongly preferred; High school degree required
• Strong computer skills required; strong Microsoft D365 knowledge preferred
• 2+ years of diesel technician experience strongly preferred
• Technical, operational, support, and service knowledge of product line is required
• Advanced industry knowledge is required
• Strong math skills required
• Strong detail orientation required
