The Parts Manager controls and directs all activities of the Parts Operation and Warehouse in meeting profit objective by effectively maintaining and merchandising parts to provide high quality product support to customers.


REQUIREMENTS:



  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

  2. Three years’ experience preferred with parts, service and sales department operations

  3. Experience with computers and S.M.C.S. systems and procedures

  4. General knowledge of parts and service department operations

  5. Ability and willingness to function outside normal working hours

  6. Demonstrated ability to apply tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers and fellow employees


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  1. Direct the management of the Parts Operations to assure effective and efficient operations

  2. Formulate objectives, policies, plans and procedures for the parts operation assuring consistency with company objectives, policies and plans

  3. Daily administration of the Parts Department

  4. Assist Divisional Sales and Marketing Departments with programs

  5. Assist in developing and executing an annual Operating Budget

  6. Assist Business Specialist in the implementation of the enhancements to TRACS and Web Sites used by Whayne Supply Company

  7. Administer the warehouse to be effective in its operations and activities

  8. Cooperate with other departments and suppliers to assure a unified approach to related problems, programs, activities, and objectives

  9. Design, propose and advise in the planning of new and remodel of facilities and recommend the purchase of Equipment and supplies to best fit our wants and needs

  10. Evaluate employee performance, hire and train employees, take disciplinary action when required, based on individual job performances

  11. Remain current on developments in the market place to provide and maintain the highest level of product support to customers

  12. Develop and comply with approved budgets and cost control standards

  13. Hold periodic meetings to meet training or performance objectives

  14. Supervise the Warehouse staff, Parts Supervisor, and Parts Counter

  15. Perform other duties as necessary and assigned
