Overview

The Parts Inventory Cycle Counter is critical to Blanchard’s inventory accuracy and promoting a safe work environment.  Under the direction of the Parts Inventory Manager, the cycle counter owns inventory accuracy, CAT contamination standards, and re-warehousing for Blanchard’s Parts Inventories.  This position will perform daily cycle counts and investigate errors for Blanchard’s main Columbia store and assist other store locations when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe and honest manner.
  • Completes daily cycle counts/physical inventories and record results in DBS.
  • Maintains a high degree of accuracy for counts and data entry.
  • Identify products and units of measure.
  • Performs regular housekeeping/straightening of inventory and looks for opportunities to utilize warehouse space more efficiently.
  • Works with warehouse staff to solve inventory accuracy issues related to picking, receiving and other related processes.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and resolve potential issues.
  • Completes required bin transfers and inventory relocations.
  • Ensures inventory stores adhere to CAT Contamination Standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-3 years warehouse experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office tools, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams.
  • Ability to adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety requirements.
  • Strong work ethic and self-starter.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
  • High commitment to completing tasks in a timely manner.

 Working Conditions:

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside throughout the day, however this position may also require working in non-climate-controlled environments as well as outdoors.
  • Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
  • Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.Must be able to lift varied weights up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
