Field Welder / Line Boring Tech
REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license (CDL). Minimum of one year experience or technical school diploma. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to pass a basic "all position" welding test. Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug screening test.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follows directions accurately and performs tasks efficiently while working with no direct supervision.
Work performed is mistake and error-free.
Accepts responsibility for own work and understands the impact of this work on the company.
Has knowledge of test equipment and procedures and is capable of making repair decisions and setting up jobs with no direct supervision. In the disassembly, repair, reassembly, adjustment, and testing of all products serviced by Stowers Machinery Corporation, with a focus on welding, line boring tasks, and undercarriage repairs.
Performs welding and line boring tasks, including welding repairs, boring holes, and ensuring proper alignment and fit of components without supervision.
Ensures that all work is free of mistakes and errors, maintaining high standards of precision and quality.
Take ownership of your work and understand how the quality of welding and line boring affects overall machine performance and company operations.
Follows all DOT laws and exhibits safe driving practices while driving company vehicles.
Prepared to purchase hand tools as required to perform the job.
Properly safeguards all tools. Keeps an updated itemized record of employee-owned tools on file which includes pictures and cost of tools and toolbox.
Completes service reports at the completion of each job and ensures accuracy of reports with no direct supervision.
Completes job time cards completely and accurately as jobs are finished daily.
Orders all parts and charges time to the proper work order and segments.
Writes and communicates clearly and accurately.
Orders parts accurately with no direct supervision to minimize parts returns.
Handles all parts returns and core credits in accordance with company policies.
