Principal Business Lead – Technology Modernization
Job Summary: The Principal Business Lead – Technology Modernization serves as the voice of the business and guides the successful implementation and ongoing improvement of our organization’s ERP system. This leadership role will focus on aligning the ERP initiative with the company’s strategic goals, driving business transformation, and ensuring smooth collaboration across all departments. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership, communication, and business skills, and be a trusted partner in steering this high-impact program.
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; Participate in ongoing self-development.
Essential Functions:
- Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
- Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, model, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Lead the ERP program by aligning it with the company’s broader business goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to define the vision, objectives, and scope of the program to support growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee all aspects of the ERP program, ensuring that it stays on track, within budget, and delivers value to the organization. Monitor progress, manage resources effectively, and resolve any issues that arise.
- Foster collaboration between departments such as Finance, Operations, HR, and IT to ensure the ERP program addresses the diverse needs of the business. Serve as the primary liaison to ensure alignment and understanding across teams.
- Identify opportunities for business process improvements by evaluating workflows and operational efficiencies. Promote initiatives that enhance decision-making, streamline operations, and improve overall organizational performance.
- Bring in "big picture" thinking and seek to drive clarity among team and stakeholders.
- Participate in trade-off decisions between product scope, cost/resources, and timing, and be able to execute authoritative decision-making when required.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure the successful adoption of new processes and systems across the organization. Develop and execute strategies to engage employees, address resistance, and drive successful transitions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business. Provide regular updates on program progress, manage expectations, and ensure that leadership and business units are fully informed and engaged throughout the program.
- Ability to communicate, pitch, and evangelize product features, technical designs, and product strategy to both a technical and non-technical audience with ease.
- Works with business and Subject Matter Experts to understand business strategy and vision and then writes, refines, accepts, and prioritizes stories and/or features to support effective and compliant solutions while balancing investment and business value.
- Continuously leverages advanced data-driven problem-solving techniques and analytical rigor to understand and report on product and experience performance against KPIs/KRIs
- Conducts internal and external research and conducts situational analysis to identify and apply industry best practices and trends to increase effectiveness of Digital or Technology products
- Participates in enterprise-wide projects with direct responsibility to deliver outcomes according to the plan. Define the success metrics for your products and demonstrate user engagement, behavior change, and value of your product to clients and internal partners
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure that their services align with the company’s needs. Manage relationships, monitor performance, and ensure that service agreements are met.
- Ensure that employees are properly trained and equipped to leverage new systems and processes. Oversee the creation and implementation of training programs to maximize employee engagement and system utilization.
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced qualifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in leadership roles
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing complex business initiatives.
- Experience with large-scale business transformation projects and organizational change efforts.
- Strong ability to influence decision-makers and lead teams toward shared objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position may direct and manage employees within assigned department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
- Up to 30% with occasionally overnight stay
Physical Requirements:
- This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and conference room AV/video equipment.
Work Environment:
- Works primarily in a professional office environment
- Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
