We are searching for a Service Supervisor to join our growing operations at our Bossier City, Louisiana location.
YOU
The Shop Supervisor coordinates service department activities to provide prompt service to customers and other departments by working with the technicians to drive accountability by being a guide, a resource for information, and a mentor.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION
- Lead the execution of work throughout the service shop with a sense of urgency.
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a manner that promotes a positive relationship.
- With the Service Manager and Coordinator, Organize, prioritize, schedule, and assign work in the department to optimize department productivity daily.
- At the beginning of each job, will go over the specifics of the job with the technicians, pointing out any special areas of safety, quality, and allotted time requirements.
- Sign off on all JSA’s in the service shop.
- Monitor department work in progress to ensure jobs are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Keep current on service, repair, and modification procedures for all brands and models of products assigned to the department.
- Perform service and repair activities as needed to ensure department productivity.
- Assist the service manager in customer relations issues as needed.
- Provide technical support and assistance for all department activities.
- Provide on-the-job technical training to department technicians as needed and make recommendations for formal training activities for department technicians.
- Oversee the inventory and maintenance of department tools, equipment, and supplies.

MOST IMPORTANT QUALIFICATIONS
- REQUIRED: High School Diploma
- REQUIRED: 3 years or more of supervisory experience with direct reports
- REQUIRED: 5 years or more of experience as an engine shop technician
- REQUIRED: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- REQUIRED: Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- REQUIRED: Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
- HIGHLY PREFERRED: Knowledge or experience with Caterpillar equipment or equipment product lines
JOB FACTS
- Schedule is Monday - Friday 7am – 4:30pm; hours subject to change at anytime
- Time will be split as 90% on the shop floor and 10% in the office
