Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team, specializing in new and used Caterpillar construction equipment and related products and services. This role requires a strategic, customer-focused approach to territory management, sales execution, and relationship building.
You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, advising customers with confidence and expertise, and negotiating transactions that deliver value to both the customer and the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell Caterpillar construction equipment and related services.
  • Manage your territory effectively through strategic planning and execution.
  • Build strong customer relationships by demonstrating product knowledge and business insight.
  • Negotiate deals that align with both customer needs and company goals.
  • Maintain accurate records in Sales Link, including leads, opportunities, and account activities.
  • Prepare and deliver timely and accurate quotes, contracts, financial documents, and delivery records.
  • Collaborate with factory representatives to drive mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Apply professional sales techniques to overcome objections and highlight product features and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction equipment industry required, experience with Caterpillar equipment preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Strong sales aptitude and customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in computer systems and CRM tools.
  • Self-starter with high energy and the ability to learn technical materials quickly.
  • Skilled in negotiation and relationship management.
