ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Product Manager, this autonomous and hands-on role will see you working closely with customers, internal teams and Caterpillar specialists to demonstrate equipment capability, train operators and support product performance across the field. You will participate in and be accredited to globally recognised Caterpillar Certified Dealer Instructor (CDI) standards.
Key responsibilities include:
• Demonstrating new and used Caterpillar earthmoving equipment to customers
• Preparing and delivering operator training
• Supporting machine delivery, commissioning and customer handover
• Supporting customers and internal teams with operational or performance queries
• Testing new equipment while providing feedback on new product and technology before its even in market!
• Participating in local and international certification and training programs
• Attending field days, exhibitions and customer events
• Supporting construction technology solutions including 3D GRADE GPS, remote control, payload and advanced machine safety systems
This role involves regular travel across Victoria, Tasmania and occasional overseas opportunities.
ABOUT YOU
You’re an earthmoving equipment operator with 10+ years’ experience across a wide range of machine types and applications, who enjoys working with people just as much as machines. You take pride in your knowledge, communicate confidently, and thrive in a role that offers variety, autonomy and exposure to the latest technology.
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
• Proven experience operating earthmoving equipment (essential)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Solid computer literacy and confidence using technology
• Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities
• A genuine curiosity and desire to learn a wide range of products and systems
• Flexibility to travel interstate and internationally when required
