Inside Rental Representative
Overview
The Inside Rental Representative is responsible for generating and maintaining rental business by following up on leads, sales calls and customer consultation.

Responsibilities
- Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
- Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
- Provides initial contact to customers, determining their rental needs, qualifying their rental potential and executing and closing rental deals.
- Conducts daily cold calls and customer site visits to solicit rental business.
- Provides direct assistance to any walk-in customers and phone assistance for call-in rental business.
- Follows-up on all rental leads provided by other sales representatives, service associates, marketing mail outs, etc.
- Performs telemarketing prospecting, verifying and maintaining customer list and data.
- Provides and sharing rental equipment specifications, applications and basic operator training to customers on our product line.
- Makes routine follow-up site visits to current customers ensuring customer satisfaction with our equipment rental business.
- Provides accurate rental information and ensuring rental agreements are properly developed.
- Submitting all monthly business records (i.e. Call reports, expense reports, etc.) in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the machine rental industry is required with preference given to candidates with previous sales experience.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills required. Ability to set and keep priorities and professionally handle the stress associated with dealing with a fast paced industry and time frames is a must.
- Must be an enthusiastic, hard worker with the ability to complete work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent computer skills to include use of Microsoft Office and other proprietary software is required.
- Must have a high degree of inter-personal skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license with less than three moving violations in the past three years.
Working Conditions:
- The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside but will also require some work outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Position requires employee to be physically present on job site.
- Required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury and/or hazardous materials.
- Job requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
- Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
- Use of computer and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
