As a Director of Employee Experience with Foley, you will serve as a key member of the People Leadership Team and will play a vital role in fostering a positive and productive work environment, promoting employee engagement and retention, sustaining a high-performance culture, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations.
 
The Director of Employee Experience will oversee the HR Generalist team and several key HR functions including employee relations, performance enablement, employee engagement, employee recognition, and HR analytics.
 
This is a highly collaborative, strategic, hands-on role, requiring a blend of analytical capability, leadership presence, and practical experience in HR operations, particularly in industrial and service-based settings.

What You Will Do in This Role:

Strategic Leadership
  • Partner with the CPO, other members of People Leadership Team and Foley Senior Leadership to develop and lead the long-term vision for employee experience in alignment with Foley’s mission, values, purpose, and business objectives.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to HR leadership and executive stakeholders on organizational culture, talent strategy, and HR operations.

Employee Relations
  • Direct enterprise-wide employee relations strategy in alignment with the company’s MVP and with an emphasis on proactive engagement, legal compliance, and consistency.
  • Advise, mentor, and guide all levels of management around complex employee relations decisions including business conduct, performance management, termination, and HR policies.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with employees, management, and external stakeholders while promoting knowledge, understanding, and compliance regarding company policies and relevant employment laws.
  • Stay up to date with relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure the company's policies and practices comply with legal requirements and provide guidance to management on disciplinary actions, and other employee relations matters.
  • Oversee complex investigations, employee conflict resolution, and policy development in partnership with legal and HR teams.
  • Establish best practices, training, and governance for the HR Generalist team and all levels of management.

Performance Enablement
  • Oversee the design, implementation and execution of performance practices that increase productivity, enhance engagement, and enable high performance across the organization.
  • Ensure alignment of performance practices with organizational goals and culture.
  • Pursue ongoing improvements that increase performance utility and organizational impact.
  • Design and deliver training that helps managers accurately assess and accelerate individual performance.
 
Employee Engagement & Recognition
  • Partner with the CPO and senior leadership to develop Foley’s enterprise employee engagement strategy.
  • Assess, develop, and deploy programs and initiatives to enhance employee listening and promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Champion programs that enhance belonging and recognition across business units.
 
HR Analytics & Decision Support
  • Oversee the design, delivery and ongoing enhancement of Foley’s people metrics dashboards and HR reporting tools.
  • Use analytics to identify trends, inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs.
  • Partner across the People Leadership team to present actionable insights and recommendations to key stakeholders.
 
Organizational Design & Effectiveness
  • Partner with senior leadership & across the HR leadership team on org design, role alignment, and change initiatives that enable scale and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with leadership to assess and redesign organizational structures for optimal efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate in the development and execution of change management plans to support organizational transitions and transformations.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to support teams through change initiatives. 

HR Generalist Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the HR Generalist team to ensure strategic and impactful partnership with operational leaders.
  • Support HR Generalists in addressing complex HR issues and developing strategic initiatives.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure consistent delivery of high-impact HR support across locations and departments.

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, or a related field required
  • 10+ years of relevant HR experience and 5+ years of people leadership experience required. 
  • Seasoned and proven skills across the HR disciplines including employee relations, performance enablement, employee engagement, employee recognition, organizational design, and HR analytics
  • Demonstrated expertise in conflict management, employment law, and influencing skills
  • Knowledge of the latest regulations, trends, and best practices in human resources and demonstrate skills to reliably communicate and integrate this knowledge across the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication skills in written and verbal form; comfortable presenting to senior leaders and communicating with employees
  • Solid sense of accountability, high-quality judgment, and sound decision-making.
  • Ability to positively motivate, manage, and develop employees. 
  • Ability to drive and a valid driver’s license required

What Will Put You Ahead:
  • Master’s degree 
  • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP certification, preferred. 
  • Bilingual a plus (Spanish/English).
