Job Description:

•    Responsible for the maintenance and overhaul work in the Natural Gas Compression, Oil and Gas Drilling and Well Servicing, and EPG industry in the field
•    Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs, maintenance and overhauls on natural gas and diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachments
•    Interface with customers, products and sales support
•    Working with the supervisor on various tasks
•    Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
•    Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
•    Various related duties as required

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
  • Minimum 5 year experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician
  • Journeyperson Certification in Mechanic, Millwright and Automotive may also be considered
  • Dedication to safety
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Gas Compression and Well Servicing experience will be preferred and recognized as an asset.
  • Non-Caterpillar experience such as Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins etc is recognized as an asset.
  • Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.

  • This position is a 5x2 shift schedule, based out of our Edmonton Power Systems facility
  • Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement

  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
