Description


The Equipment Repair Estimator plays a pivotal role in developing quotes, encompassing parts, labor, and miscellaneous elements for our service departments and customers. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day quote request queue and serving as a liaison between various functional areas within the company, including service supervisors, managers, product support representatives, and sales teams.


What you'll do:

- Estimate Caterpillar machine repair/enhancements quotes based on requests from different departments, providing labor, parts lists, and miscellaneous costs.

- Handle repair estimations including but not limited to engine, transmission, final drive, and/or undercarriage repair/replacement, and machine damage assessments.

- Develop preventative maintenance quotes based on prototypes.

- Establish requirements for machine rebuilds.

- Maintain both required digital data and physical files.

- Communicate and direct issues to the appropriate channels for labor, parts, and technical matters.

- Perform all functions in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.

- Other duties as required in support of Riggs customers and business operations.



Requirements

 


What you'll need:- High School diploma or GED- Profound mechanical/technical knowledge and understanding of Caterpillar and construction machinery systems- Effective communication skills with all stakeholders- Excellent prioritization abilities- Self-starter with multitasking capabilities- Proficient typing skills and basic math skills- Competency in computer usage- Ability to sit for extended periods- Strong team player and highly self-motivated- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
