Are you an expert in electric power generators? We're seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team in field service, helping us maintain and repair electrical power generators. If you have a passion for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing machine repairs, we want to hear from you!
- Troubleshoot, test, and diagnose electrical power generators.
- Safely perform machine repairs.
- Inspect, repair, maintain, overhaul, and rebuild engines and power generator components.
What We're Looking For:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Completion of the level 2 training program, OR
- Three or more years of experience with electrical power generator service and repair (5kw to 2mg), preferably with Caterpillar equipment, OR
- Graduation from an accredited technical school (minimum two-year program) with an emphasis on power generator equipment.
Skills and Competencies:
- Thorough understanding of equipment and preventative maintenance procedures.
- Strong technical service skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with power generation equipment and strong knowledge of DC electrical and machine electronic systems.
- Ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures for repairs and manufacturers’ updates.
- Ability to work in a low-supervised environment and take direction from multiple supervisors.
- Effective communication skills with customers, supervision, and dispatchers, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The functions of the position require lifting, carrying, and pulling up to 50 pounds. Standing and sitting up, moving up and down stairs, and climbing into machines will be required. Position functions require normal dexterity and repetitive, frequent movements that involve the hands, wrists, and fingers. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
