Summary
The SAP Architect will serve as the strategic and technical leader for Weisiger Group’s SAP ecosystem and center of excellence, with a focus on Sales & Distribution (SD), Service Management (SM) and Rental system operations utilizing FIT-Global Rental. This role will drive solution architecture and oversee system integration, development, configuration, and data in alignment with business objectives and strategic goals. The Architect will manage a high-performing internal team and coordinate with an offshore AMS (Application Management Services) partner to deliver scalable, reliable, and future-ready SAP solutions.
Essential Functions
- Architecture & Strategy
- Maintain and further develop the SAP solution architecture across SD, SM and FIT-Rental modules
- Closely collaborate with SalesForce and ServiceMax architects
- Lead end-to-end solution design, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with business processes
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
- Drive SAP roadmap planning and system modernization initiatives ensuring technical relevancy with versions, service packs, and features
- Technical Leadership
- Provide deep expertise in SAP SD (Quotations, Sales Orders, Pricing, Delivery, Billing)
- Architect Service Management solutions including Service Quotes, Service Orders, Contracts, Billing, Customer Interaction Center, and Field Service
- Integrate and Configure SAP Rental Management processes within FIT-Global Rental application including Fleet Management, Quotation, Contract, Check-in/Check-out, Cycle Billing
- Provide expertise across Logistics and Transportation (Inbound & Outbound Processes, Warehouse Management, Handling & Unit Batch Management, Inventory Management, Integration with SD/MM)
- Write functional specifications and work with ABAP developers for execution and testing
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending enhancements aligned with business goals
- Support integration with other SAP modules such as FI and SCM.
- Ensure system testing, end user training, and comprehensive documentation occurs
- Participate in SAP upgrades, enhancements, and rollouts
- Ensure seamless integration with third-party platforms (e.g., Salesforce, mobile apps, telematics)
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement policies, and audit requirements
- Delivery & Governance
- Oversee SAP project delivery, enhancements, and support activities in partnership with business technology delivery organization
- Manage offshore AMS partner performance, SLAs, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Comply with and improve governance frameworks for change management, documentation, and compliance
- Partner with basis team to monitor system health, performance, and proactively address risks
- Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of SAP analysts, developers, and functional consultants
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning
- Conduct performance reviews, skill development planning, and resource allocation

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred)
- SAP certifications in SD, CRM, CS, SM, FSM or S/4HANA Architecture are a plus
- 10+ years of SAP experience with deep expertise in SD and CS (Customer Service), SM (Service Management), FSM (Field Service Management) or CRM modules
- Extensive experience with designing and implementing OTC (Order-to-Cash) processes
- Proven experience architecting solutions in SAP S/4HANA environments
- Strong understanding of SAP Rental Management and Equipment Master Data
- Familiarity with rental KPIs, asset depreciation models, and compliance requirements
- Experience with middleware/integration tools (e.g., PI/PO, BTP, CPI)
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori, UI5, and mobile enablement strategies
Leadership and Communication
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing offshore partners
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to influence and drive consensus across business and IT teams
