Hydraulic Front Door technician
Clean Cylinder, components and other associated equipment on the wash pit using high pressure cleaning equipment. Maintain wash pit, clean inside and outside of shop. Receive and
Ship components as needed. Take in information from customer about components.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Clean heavy equipment and other associated equipment on the wash pit using high pressure cleaning equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of wash pit area and wash pit building.
• Fill out CST-033 Tag with all customer information on component being dropped off.
• Safely using high pressured cleaning equipment
• Maintaining the shop keeping floor, racks, tables, etc. Clean of oil, trash, and dirt.
• Drive Forklift to and from wash pit area with cylinders on pallets.
• Keep areas around building swept up and keep trash emptied.
• Check the equipment and supplies required to perform the work scheduled, comply with PPE requirements, and otherwise prepare for duties.
• Uses lift trucks, overhead cranes, & other aides to lift or move parts into position to be repaired.
• Uses hand & power tools to remove, install, replace fittings & etc. on componets.
• Climbs up onto, under, & into vehicles to gain access to all parts of vehicle.
• Uses overhead hoists, lift devices, forklifts & other aides to move items off vehicle then to move componets to locations for disassembly,
• Performs inspections on forklift daily.
• Uses power washers & spray paint equipment to clean & paint componets.
• Keeping shop cleaned inside, out back, and front loading dock.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
High School Graduate or GED.
Work Experience:
Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required.
Must be mechanically inclined and have good basic knowledge obtained through schooling or work experience.
Physical:
Job is physically demanding must be able to climb up and down on forklift. Stand for long periods of time. Kneeling and bending over for periods of a time; Working in the elements outside & at wash pit. Must be able to effectively see to gather information and develop written tag on repairs. Must be able to routinely and physically lift/position various parts to perform repairs/service and manually handle parts up to 112 pounds, as well as use mechanical hoist for heavier parts.
Other:
Basic computer skills needed. Must be able to effectively write up a repair tag of customer information and about component so a work order can be opened. Must be able talk to customers internal and external.
