Inventory Coordinator 1
Job Summary:
The Inventory Coordinator 1 is responsible for purchasing inventory from Caterpillar, adding assets to inventory, coding asset and freight invoices, and maintaining inventory systems accuracy.

Essential Functions:
- Models, promotes, and reinforces the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
- Orders inventory from Caterpillar through ANTARES, CMOPS and RDE systems in DBSi or web-based platforms and non-CAT vendors.
- Utilizes Caterpillar applications to ensure availability of inventory during the ordering process, reports list of any unavailable items to the Inventory Manager.
- Researches and codes Caterpillar and freight invoices.
- Sustains inventory systems by updating work tool part numbers, locations, accounts, pricing, and availability.
- Reviews all shipping and receiving documents to ensure current inventory accuracy.
- Validates inventory ship to locations; when applicable accrue freight and pre-delivery costs.
- Maintains and reports daily shipping activity, ensuring accuracy when sale type records are reported to Caterpillar.
- Maintains inventory validity while placing machine orders to Caterpillar.
- Provides support to Texas First Rental – ordering, shipping, and receiving.
- Maintain vendor relations and established rapport through collaboration for the overall benefit of HOLT CAT.
- Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to sustain working knowledge of international logistics, ISF-2 Homeland Security import documents, customs brokerage, port releases and monetary conversions between the United States and other countries.
- Working knowledge of all OEM and applicable AEM equipment.
- Presentation skills before small and large groups.
- Computer and related software knowledge and/or experience. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc..)
- Experience/Knowledge in generating Purchase Orders and maintaining PO systems.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
- Solid time management and organization skills, strong attention to detail preferred.
- Ability to prepare reports and maintain records.
- Ability to coordinate with other staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public.
- Ability to use handheld devices such as barcode scanners or metrology devices such as calipers, measuring tapes and scales.
- Ability to use arithmetic and algebraic skills to compute discounts, markups, percentages, multiplication, division, and fractions.
- Knowledge of ohm’s law and the computation of hydraulic flows and pressures.
- Ability to convert between metric, imperial fractions, and imperial decimals.
- Knowledge of measurements in joules, lbs, psi, bar, kg, mm, tons, metric tons, cubic metric, and cubic imperial.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
- Experience preferred but not required

- None
Travel:
- Up to 25% travel may be required
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, frequent movement inside the office to deliver paperwork, check mail and greet visitors.
- Occasionally required to walk out on the yard to take measurements or conduct equipment inspections.
Work Environment:
- Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
- Regularly works indoors and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity.
- May perform work in cramped spaces, awkward positions and/or high places.
