Salary Range $21.16 to $24.70 Per Hour
JOB SUMMARY:
Perform preventive and repair maintenance as required on building and production machinery. Paint, clean, move furniture, change lamps, clean air conditioning duct grills, store and stock facility parts, unstop commodes, urinals, and sinks, and clean kitchen grease filters and traps as needed. Perform other maintenance duties as directed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs as directed on equipment and systems. These systems and equipment include lighting equipment; electrical power distribution; air lines; natural gas lines; hot water heating lines; domestic hot and cold-water lines; drainage lines; fire sprinkler systems; shop equipment; air handlers; fan coil units; evaporative coolers; lavatory fixtures; building hardware, furniture, gates, and fences; hoists, pumps, and motors; and shop oil supply lines.
• Responds to all reasonable service requests. Be alert to other tasks, which need to be done.
• Works safely at all times. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Maintains good housekeeping, proper safety practices and safe work conditions.
• Makes recommendations for improvements to safety practices and housekeeping.
• Develops new skills including repair of furniture, sinks, valves, and drains are learned to the satisfaction of the supervisor.
• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on building and production machinery.
• Completes other duties as requested by the supervisor.
• Works within and promotes corporate values.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and any shift.
• Must be willing to maintain strict security of the total energy plant engine room as well as the complete facility.
• Must be willing to care for assigned tools and equipment. Must be willing to acquire personal hand tools to perform job duties.
• Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to work with all personnel in a professional manner.
• Must be able to comprehend service manuals, maintain timecards, etc.
• Must be able to learn electrical circuitry, plumbing, carpentry, and air handlers and controls.
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Previous experience repairing facilities and equipment.
• Knowledge of building construction and maintenance trades.
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
