CLOUD DATA WAREHOUSE DEVELOPER
Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Cloud Data Warehouse Developer. The Cloud Data Warehouse Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable, high-performance data warehouse solutions using Snowflake. The individual in this role will create and maintain secure data models, define data architecture strategies, and ensure efficient data processing and storage. Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years’ hands-on experience administering and supporting a Snowflake environment. SnowPro Core Certification preferred. SnowPro Advanced Architect certification preferred.
Requirements for the Cloud Data Warehouse Developer position include:
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Snowflake cloud data platforms.
- Strong understanding of database design principles, including normalization, denormalization, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake security features, including RBAC, IAM, encryption, and data masking.
- Proficiency with ETL tools and frameworks; ability to optimize workflows for large-scale data processing.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud services and their integration with Snowflake.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar scripting languages for data manipulation and automation.
- Must be able to effectively resolve issues in a timely manner using sound judgement, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and influencing skills.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to effectively prioritize (with changing priorities), multi-task, address issues quickly and professionally, and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic.
- Must be able to handle high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Must be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to non-technical users.

Physical requirements must be met for the Cloud Data Warehouse Developer job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is periodically moving/pushing/transporting 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
