Parts Warehouse Clerk
Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. We have a full-time, Parts Warehouse Clerk position available at our Victoria, Texas location. This position is responsible for responding to customers' needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner while demonstrating a sense of urgency. Must also provide prompt, accurate, and efficient processing of all parts transactions and related warehouse activities. This requires working independently, with specific direction, or as a member of a team. The hours for this position will be Monday through Friday, day shift 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Essential Functions:
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
- Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
- Maintains all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
- Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
- Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse; To be monitored by management observation and stock order analysis reports, as well as daily and year-end physical inventories
- Maintains parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards, so that they are neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
- Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting guide for self-improvement and achievement of other KRA's
- Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates job status to supervisor as needed
- Learns how to place 3ʳᵈ party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
- Works overtime as required by workload
- Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines to include; order pulling, job-related software, forklift operation, hydraulic hose building, ladder Job Safety Analysis (JSA), battery JSA, prime mover JSA, will counter operations, and all applicable policies and procedures
- General knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
- Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
- Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane
- Ability to operate a conventional forklift
- Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions
- Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and understand information
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Up to two years of experience
Travel:
- Up to 10% travel may be required & may require overnight stays

Work Environment:
- Regularly works indoors around moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to weather extremes when working outside in conditions that include inclement weather, heat, cold, and humidity
- Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, dust, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment
- Works in extremely bright or inadequate lighting
- Exposure to high noise levels and body vibration
- Works in an enclosed and open vehicle or equipment
- Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment
- Exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stings
