Job Summary:
To manage and maintain the rental business by assisting the sales team, branch supervisor, and other divisions within Fabick Cat. This position requires a very careful adherence to well-defined work where repeatable results are needed. The work is highly precise in nature and requires a very strong attention to detail. It is vital for the work output to be very high quality, with correct results, time and time again. Checking and double-checking are often necessary; individuals performing the job must be patient and conscientious. Both the content and the presentation are important; all work must be highly polished. There is little ambiguity in this job. It is very clear what needs to be done, and what the expected results are. This clarity will come either from the company's management or from established professional disciplines and processes. The established procedures and processes must be followed very closely; there is little room for necessity to modify them. Much of the work can be accomplished by working at a steady, even pace. There is much consistency and familiarity from one day to the next. It is generally feasible to plan blocks of work ahead of time. The work is helpful in nature; providing support and/or service to others in an environment free from competition. Interacting with customers requires a professional, formal manner where the focus is on completing the task pleasantly and correctly.
Responsibilities:
* Assists and provides exceptional customer service to rental customers. Answers all calls and responds to requests for information on equipment from customers and assists them with their rental needs.
* Prepares rental contracts and ensures all proper documentation and insurance coverage is obtained prior to renting the equipment.
* Assists with in-store sales.
* Maintains equipment inventory and processing parts orders for rental equipment.
* Engage in technical discussions related to the proper equipment based on usage/need for the equipment with potential clients.
* Remain knowledgeable and up to date on changes and developments of all equipment being rented.
* Any and all duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* High school or equivalent required
* Associate degree preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in customer service required.
* The ability to communicate effectively with customers and Fabick personnel is required.
* Candidate must possess strong decision-making capability. These skills will be leveraged in/but not limited to the areas of delivery requirements, quoting of rental rates, equipment timelines, and working with the service department for scheduling equipment repair to ensure availability for customer needs preferred.
* Must be self-starting and able to work with minimal supervision required.
* Strong computer skills: word, excel, and outlook required.
* Good time management is required.
* Strong phone communication skills required.
* Data entry required.
* Ability to engage in technical discussions with potential clients on equipment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods, stand, walk, bend, and stoop to perform the essential functions of this job. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
