Credit Analyst Assistant
Description
The Credit Analyst Assistant is responsible for assigned A/R accounts, processing credit applications, cash posting backup, and other duties to streamline processes in the Accounts Receivables department.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Collection, problem resolution, and communications with assigned A/R accounts to keep past dues and discrepancies to a minimum.
- Monitor E-mail to handle held orders or issues that need immediate attention with assigned customer accounts.
- For open account customers, pull appropriate credit reports for Credit Analyst review and training on setting appropriate credit limits.
- Set up name and address records for new COD customers.
- Aid and backup Accounts Receivable Clerk in posting customer payments.
- Resolve check discrepancies with customer or branch personnel as needed
- Backup for E-Business type accounts.
Other duties as assigned in preparation for advancement to Credit Analyst position.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years related experience and/or training in similar A/R, light bookkeeping, or Credit department
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, credit applications, credit reports, etc.
- Ability to speak effectively to customers and fellow employees
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite software (Basic to Intermediate skill level)
- Ability to multi-task
