Delivery Driver
- Safely deliver and pick up heavy equipment at job sites.
- Load and unload equipment, following company and DOT safety protocols.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Confirm load height, weight, and route suitability every time for safe and timely delivery.
- Coordinate and communicate with customers and dispatch to ensure smooth delivery scheduling.
- Provide helpful answers to equipment-related inquiries and ensure a smooth handoff to sales or management for additional support.
- Introduce customers to their equipment through demonstrating basic equipment operations and applications, answering customer questions.
- Inspect equipment pre- and post-delivery, noting any damage or order discrepancies.
- Keep your vehicle clean and in top condition.
- Assist with yard operations when needed.
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record (required).
- Working knowledge of delivery trucks, trailers, and construction/rental equipment.
- Familiarity with local roads, maps, and routing.
- Strong understanding and compliance of DOT regulations.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical inspections and small repairs.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and learning company software.
- Previous experience hauling heavy machinery, showcasing a solid understanding of transportation requirements.
- Knowledge of construction equipment size, weight, and operation, enabling safe and efficient loading and unloading.
- Computer experience and the ability to learn new software.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
