Heavy Duty Mechanic - Field - Fort McMurray

Major Job Functions

• Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
• Interface with customers, products and sales support
• Working with the supervisor on various tasks
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required

Specific Skills & Experience

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
• Minimum 5 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
• Dedication to safety
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
• Valid class 5 driver's license with a successful driver abstract, must be willing to provide or authorize Finning to acquire a current driver's abstract
• Role will require access to various customer sites around the Wood Buffalo region, will be required to successfully complete necessary training and other activities based on customer requirements
• Completion or be in the process of completing Finning S-level courses would also be considered an asset
• Team player

Note:

• This position is located out of our Fort McMurray location on a 7x7 continuous shift rotation
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
• Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
• Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
