Job Summary:

 


Fabick Technology Services is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our SITECH Services team. The Field Technician will be responsible for the professional installation, commissioning, and support of Trimble 2D and 3D machine control systems and telematics on various heavy equipment. This role involves on-site installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, repairs, and technical training to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction.




 

Responsibilities:



  • Perform on-machine installation, repair, and maintenance of construction technology systems at customer sites or shop settings.  




  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support in collaboration with sales and support teams.  




  • Ensure timely completion of installations and service tasks.  




  • Document and report field activities and contribute to process improvements.  




  • Conduct post-installation testing to ensure operational quality.  




  • Deliver technical training and support to customers on Trimble machine control systems.  




  • Drive revenue through performance of services for construction machine customers.  



  • Any and all duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

 

Education:

- Associate degree or vocational training in hydraulics or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.


 


Experience: 


- Proven ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems on heavy equipment.  


- Familiarity with construction site operations and machine control systems.  


- Experience in arc welding is required.  


- Operation of heavy construction equipment is a plus.  


 


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 


- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine control products.  


- Familiarity with heavy equipment and hydraulic systems.  


- Ability to follow both routine and advanced procedures and think analytically.  


- Self-motivated with strong planning and organizational skills.  


- Sound business judgment and decision-making capabilities.  


- Excellent verbal, written, and problem-solving skills.  


- Team-oriented with experience working in collaborative environments.  


- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

In addition to being able to sit, stand, walk, read, talk, write and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities: Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
