Reporting to the Senior Supervisor, the Electrical Supervisor will join the Welshpool Rebuilds team on a full-time basis. The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for the daily management, leadership, support and mentoring of the team, ensuring a high level of safety focus with actions that support a belief in a zero-harm culture.

 

Roster:  Monday – Friday, 10.5hours per day (Including unpaid meal breaks)

Location: Welshpool, WA

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage a team of electrical tradespeople, including apprentices, ensuring high performance and team cohesion
  • Oversee all aspects of WIP (Work in Progress) management to ensure timely and quality outcomes
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering professional growth and development
  • Create and maintain a productive, safe, and compliant workplace environment
  • Offer technical guidance and support based on a strong electrical trade background (note: this is a non-tools role)
  • Supervise and coordinate machine rebuild projects, ensuring adherence to specifications and timelines
  • Support the team in diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in complex electrical systems
  • Oversee all electrical-related tasks, including software updates on machinery and ECM (Electronic Control Module) management

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified electrical tradesperson (preferred) or mechanical trade background
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or leading hand role within a heavy industrial or maintenance environment
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems, diagnostics, and machine rebuilds
  • Experience managing work orders, job scheduling, and tracking associated costs
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and oversight without being on the tools
  • Familiarity with updating software on machinery and working with ECMs (Electronic Control Modules)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
