Energy Rental Sales Representative
Overview
Thompson Energy Solutions, a division of Thompson Machinery, is looking for a dynamic outside rental sales representative to manage a defined territory in Middle Tennessee for rental generators, compressed air systems, and HVAC solutions. This role requires a strong technical knowledge of power systems and industrial sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage a territory effectively to ensure our customers’ success.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing accounts while identifying and pursuing new opportunities through networking, referrals, and cold calling
- Collaborate with customers and engineers, including site assessments, to determine equipment needs and system requirements
- Provide customized solutions, including generators, compressed air, HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, and ancillary gear
- Prepare and present rental sale contracts, lease agreements, and bids for projects
- Collaborate with other departments to deliver turnkey solutions for all Thompson products and services offered
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred or 5+ years of technical experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power generation, electrical distribution, compressed air, and HVAC systems preferred
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
