Summary
The Marketing Claims Analyst will play a critical role in identifying and managing Caterpillar (CAT) discounts, rebates, and marketing claims, as well as scoping and implementing automation solutions for complex processes. The role will also involve managing order hold queues for credit holds and DBS order fallouts. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with high accountability, have a strong analytical mindset, be a proactive and clear communicator, and excel at networking across CAT teams and real-time problem-solving.
Essential Functions
- Discounts & Rebates Management: Provide analytical support and administration of CAT discounts, rebates, and marketing claims.
- Process Automation: Scope and implement automation solutions for complex processes, similar to Blanchard's programs.
- Order Management: Own and manage order hold queues for credit holds and DBS order fallouts, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to enhance data-driven decision-making processes and conduct in-depth analysis of data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive improved business performance.
- Metrics: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and summaries of dashboards to branches, cross-functional teams, and management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and network across CAT to support task completion and solve problems in real time.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably in Inventory Control, Supply Chain, and/or purchasing.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Inventory Management, statistical analysis, and systems. Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Excel, Power BI).
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaboration & Problem Solving: Highly collaborative and comfortable networking across CAT teams, with strong skills in real-time problem-solving.
