We’re looking for a technical and strategic leader to step into the pivotal role of Product Support Sales Manager based at our head office in Clayton - someone who thrives on building strong relationships, developing high performing teams, and driving growth opportunities across Victoria and Tasmania.

As the Product Support Sales Manager, you’ll lead and inspire a dynamic team of Product Support Sales Representatives (PSSR), Key Account Managers (KAMs), and our Product Support Sales Supervisor. You’ll play a pivotal role in driving company wide sales strategies that support our product support business and achieve growth targets for parts and service sales.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Recruit, lead and manage, and motivate the Product Support Sales team to achieve territory budgets and customer coverage targets.
• Develop and implement market-specific product support marketing plans in close consultation with senior management and marketing teams.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by representing the company at industry events, customer visits, and promotional activities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders and Caterpillar representatives to continuously improve processes and deliver exceptional product support.
• Manage customer satisfaction initiatives and resolve issues proactively
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales performance and market insights to senior management.
ABOUT YOU

You are a driven and motivating technical sales leader who thrives on seeing your team succeed and achieve.
You will bring your sound knowledge of the heavy machinery industry, along with an understanding of the product support aftermarket space and the industries in which William Adams operates in.
To be considered for this role you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

• Proven experience in sales management, within heavy equipment or a related technical field. (Required)
• Strong technical background — parts or mechanical experience (Required)
• Demonstrated ability to coach, lead, and motivate high-performing teams.
• Excellent customer service focus and relationship-building skills.
• Advanced communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and CRM functionality with solid understanding of project management principles.
• Strong organisational, time management, and analytical skills.
• Change management and data analysis skills
